LISA organisation of GI in Iceland and GI Norden are organising a conference in Iceland 12th of October 2017.
The objective of the conference is knowledge sharing/best practices on emergencies and to encourage the exchange of experience and information on successful examples of management and assessment of hazard, risk and climate changes.
The main focus of the conference will be Environmental Risk Assessment; Flooding, monitoring and analysis; Climate Change; Environmental policy; Security and Public Safety; Spatial Data Infrastructure; New devises in mapping and monitoring: Smart mapping.
The Conference Committee welcome users and researchers in the GI Sector to send in Proposals for Papers for the Conference.

Abstracts should be comprised of: Title of the presentation Name of presenter and author The abstract itself approximately should be about 150 words The language of the conference is English Deadline for submission of abstracts is June 1st 2017

Participation fee The fee is 26.000 which includes participation in the conference, lunch and coffee breaks.
Participants, not covered by a membership of one of the Nordic national GI associations (LISA Organisation, Geoforum, ULI Geoforum, GeoForum or ProGIS), will be charged an additional fee of 8.000 ISK
The fee for speakers is 12.000 ISK
The fee is 15.000 ISK for participation in Ice breaker on the 11th October and dinner on the 12th of October
